Lexa Doig

Lexa Doig portrays the role of the Andromeda Ascendant, the starship's sophisticated artificial intelligence system.

Lexa is a native of Toronto, Ontario. She was born on June 8, 1973. Her 'exotic look' comes from father's Scottish ancestry combined with her mother's Filipino heritage. Lexa is short for Alexandra, Doig is Scottish.

An accomplished actress, Doig has built an extensive resume that includes numerous appearances on feature film, television and stage. Prior to joining Andromeda, Doig starred in a number of projects for both the small and big screen including Jason X by New Line Cinema/Crystal Lake Entertainment, Code Name Phoenix by Paramount, Tekwar by Universal/Atlantis and No Alibi by HBO Pictures. Doig also appeared in CI5: The New Professionals by Sky One Television and Traders by Alliance Atlantis. In addition, she was featured as a guest star in various popular television series including Gene Roddenberry's Earth: Final Conflict by Alliance Atlantis and Tribune Entertainment and FX: The Series by Rysher/Fireworks.

Doig's theater credits include Romeo and Juliet and Arsenic and Old Lace.

Her birthday is June 8.
